I could spend a fortune on new toys for my dogs, however the "toy" they all go ga-ga over is an empty toilet paper roll.
Does your pet have an "odd" toy?

Welcome to Pets Forum, petlover! :D

My cat Purr's favorite toy is an old yellow & white striped catnip sock. During odd hours of the day, she'll carry that sock throughout the house, caterwauling! She just will go on and on with it!

My cats seem to like really cheap toys. The absoutly love hairclips. I have trained one of them, to actulley catch it between his paws! Its really funnny, I'll see if I can make a short clip of it.

The cats love nothing. The only thing they pay attention to is my hand for petting or my hand for feeding.

The dog on the other hand loves anything you tell her is hers. She knows them all by name. Bug, Bone, Pooh, Ball, Rope...

Little toys like balls or fake mice are usually good when they are new, but the cats lose interest. One thing they always love is string.

I made a catnip mouse for Sita for Xmas, and she went nuts over it for two days, and then, nothing!
Sita also loves to eat string!

My cats just love playing with anything! The female prefers empty cigarette packs and the male prefers string (which he also eats!)

hmmm,

My friends cat kept walking around with a pack of livesavers in her mouth.

In the "funny stories" post I mentioned my cat bringing me a pair of my brothers underwear as if for me to throw it for him. Kids get something expensive and nice and they play with the box. You buy a cat a nice toy that is supposed to catch their interest and they don't care but you toss them a bottle cap and they are gone for hours.

You are totally right! When my cat was small, I bought several special toys for him, but he didn't pay to them any attention. He prefers playing with a paper ball or some plastic pieces.
