Have you ever seen a talking parrot? I haven't but I heard they exist...

 You'd have to ask them!

Seriously though, it just depends what they've been trained to say or have heard and picked up... (at least as far as I know)

I heard a funny story about talking parrot which happened in Russia. A parrot was taken to the theatre where he was playing a role of pirate's parrot. Previously it was living in a Jewish family (at that time the family had an old telephone set which was ringing loudly). So, imagine - the final tragical scene in which the key hero was shackled and was suffering a lot. The parrot, having heard familiar jingle of hero's chain, spread its wings and said with typical accent: "Aunt Sarah, somebody is calling you to the phone!"

Thanks Jonathan.

That must have taken alot of work because from what I know from parrots(which is not THAT much  ) they can repeat words but the sound effects must have been really hard to mimic. I remember at a local safari place they had parrots there doing tricks and that was fun to watch. They would ride little bicycles and one was on a pulley and slide down a zipline if you know what I mean.

I thought I heard somewhere that some cockatiels could talk but we could never get any of the 4 cockatiels we had to talk. Maybe that was cockatoos or something.
