Which dog would you prefer - a big or a small one? As for me, I think it is very difficult to keep a big dog in the apartment, especially when the apartment is small. Also it is very difficult to feed a big dog as it needs a lot of food. But if you own a house, you definitely need a big dog to guard the house. Also such dogs feel better outdoors.
Small dogs are more for the good of our souls. It is pleasant to take care of small, defenseless animal and feel his love.

yeah... the medium ones.

somewhere between 40 and 60 lbs.

they're not small so they can have fun outdoors

they're not huge so they're active and fast

but they're big enough to protect if necessary.

i have a rottie right now... great dog! the only drawback is that she doesn't run very fast. but hey... that's probably because she's getting old.

for my next dog i'm planning on a Blue Heeler.
