my first was a hamster (Henry). after a few months he got out of his cage and lived for quite a long time in the walls of the house. i saw him occasionally and was able to put him back in his cage a few times but he kepts getting out. at night i could hear him scratching inside the walls looking for food. at first the noise was kinda scary, i thought he was starving. but after a while i realized he couldn't be starving so the the noise became comforting. it was good to know that he was still alive and making a little living for himself.

My first pet was fishes. But they haven't been living for too long. I don't know what was wrong, but they died. Then I kept a hamster and he died also. Then I kept only cats. I kept a lot of them as I was living with my parents and all our cats were allowed to go outside and usually they dissapered one day. Also I remeber different periods of my life when I asked my parent to buy me a parrot, then a dog... Now I understand that keeping an animal is great responsibility and you should ponder over everything seriously before taking an animal.

My first pet was a cockatiel that landed in our backyard and could not fly because the wing feathers were clipped or something. We ended up keeping him and he lived for a long time.
