| What do you do when you have to leave your house for several days and your pet should stay alone? Sometimes we leave the city for several days and it is always difficult to find somebody who would agree to take our cat to his house for this period of time. So, we simply leave our cat a full dish of food, fresh water. We leave the door to the bathroom (where is his litter) opened. So, he is able to spend several days without us without any problems. If we leave the city for more long period of time, we give our friends the key and ask them to drop in every evening to give food to our cat and change his water and litter. |

Several years ago, I used to travel for my job for 2 or 3 days at a time. I just left Purr at home. I made sure she had plenty of food and water, and I set up an extra litter pan for her. If I had to travel for more than 3 days, I made arrangements to board her at a local pet hospital.
Now, if I have to travel, my mom looks after Purr for me. :D |

i'm lucky... i have a friend who loves to doggy sit. she used to rent out one of the rooms in my house and fell in love with my dog. so now she comes over once or twice a week to take Samba out and also stays over whenever i go away for an extended period of time.
she also makes sure Portia, the cat, is fed as well. |

| What's the longest anyone's left their pets at home? The most I ever did with Purr with 3 days/2 nights. |

| When we were at the sea this summer, we left Kirill for 5 or 6 days. This was the longest period of time he ever stayed alone. All the 6 days we were recollecting him and worrying how he stays without us. Fortunately, our friend dropped everyday to see him and take care of him. |
