My cwazy cat makes rounds at night. Every night. He walks around and around and around the perimeter of the place, like some kind of sentry. Anybody ever see this kind of behavior?

Our neighbors cat hangs around outside so at night my cat prissy wonders around from window to window. She can't stand Miss Virginia (the neighbors cat)
If she sees her she starts to howl something fierce and paw the window :!:
I have another cat Eartha that scopes the place out at night because that is the only time she can get the place to herself.

No, I've never seen my cat doing something like this. But I must say he does a lot of other strange things.
The animals have their own important reasons for doing the things which seem to be strange for us. Simply, we don't understand these reasons.

Purr sometimes makes rounds throughout the house. I think she's just checking the perimeter of her territory, to make sure all is well. :D

Yep, and also keep in mind that by nature cats are fairly nocturnal as well, so this makes sense.

Makes a lot of sense for a cat. My DOG did that for a while, now that was weird. The funniest thing is, she wasn't quite awake, but she went and checked up on everybody and made sure no one's missing. One night I was in the bathroom just as she came to check on me and she threw a fit! She woke up everybody, ran around the whole aparment checking every corner, and when she finally found me she sat me down and scolded me for a good fifteen minutes. It was hilarious.
