Enclosed is the website link, which includes live cameras, for the Ohio Peregrine Falcons. The falcons are 2 year old Orville, of Dayton, and 3 year old Victory, of Toledo, and their offspring, Sonic and Shadow. The falcons nest on the top of the Rhodes Tower at 30 E. Broad Street in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The nest box has been on the 41st floor of the Rhodes Tower since 1992, and has been home to at least 4 peregrine falcon pairs that have produced 28 chicks. Falcons are on Ohio endangered species list.

Sonic and Shadow are expected to remain in the nest for about another 3 weeks, until they are able to fly and they learn to hunt smaller birds. If they survice their first year (25% to 50% don't), they can live as along as 12 years.

The new nesting season for 2006 has begun. There's been a lot of activity around the nest, and Victory should begin laying her eggs any day now.

Update: The first egg was laid today at 8:15 a.m.!

A fourth egg was laid today! Four is the typical number in a clutch of eggs; however, five is certainly possible.

Here's another falcon cam, managed by the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. The falcon cam is located on top of Cleveland's historic skyscrape, the Terminal Tower. The falcon pair in residence are Buckeye (*R/K) and an unnamed female (S/*W). The female is incubating four (4) eggs with an expected hatch date of Sunday, April 16.
