Please be prepared in the event of a disaster. Here are a few suggestions.
 Prepare a disaster kit for your pet. Include recent pictures and copies of vaccinations records. Also have a supply of bottled water and food, along with serving dishes. If you have a large dog, have a crate available. If you have a cat, have a portable litter box with litter. Any other items, like a familiar blanket and toys, could also be included. Have leashes for your pets.
 Have pets medications ready to go.
 Have carriers available to transport animals.
 All pets should wear ID tags and have a microchip implanted.
 Be prepared with a list of pet-friendly hotels or shelters that welcome pets.
If for any reason you need to evacuate your home, please don't leave your pet behind. |
