|
|
While most dogs learn two words (they dislike): "vet" & "bath" really quickly, my dog loves visiting the vet!
Whenever we walk past the vet, he would literally pull us into the building just so that he could say hi  !
I think it all started when he was a puppy. I enrolled him in one of those puppy pre-school which was run at a vet clinic. Then as my old dog simply could not cope with him (a puppy full of beans & sharp teeth), I had to drop him off to the same vet clinic (with a lunch box & an apple  ) for 'Day Care' ......! This went on until he got old enough to go to Obedient School (which he hated).
So I guess he came to associate good puppyhood memories with vets?!
How does you dog react to vets.....? |

| That's a good question--those early positive experiences are really important. What have some other people done to help make the vet experience as positive as it can be (considering your dog gets stuck with needles!) |
