They sound like...rabbits.. :?

As far as I heard a rabbit make noise, it was only a chewing sound or sniffing. Further there seems to be a secret bunny rule not to talk in front of humans ;)

They can growl, actually. It sounds like a low gutteral noise or like someone trying to unclog their nose or throat. Usually I've heard it with female bunnies, and usually when you mess with their stuff. We had one bunny, Melissa, who would growl and shove your hand with her nose.

They also make a soft grunting noise that sounds like "hm hm hm hm." And they stamp when they sense danger or when something annoys them.

Again, when we had Melissa we also had two beagles who were terrified of her growling and stamping. Even Greta, the little one who once tried to attack a full-grown Akita who was threatening her mom, used to drop her tail and ears whenever Melissa began growling and stamping. That's a bunny for you.

I had a rabbit named Tigger. He was the sweetest thing. He would sometimes make an almost oinking sound. He would also thump his feet quite loudly. He also loved to shred paper, usually at a very early hour in the morning!

Welcome jen88, have loads of post pleasure :)

The secret world of rabbits are unraveled in this topic...I never knew that the bunny kind were more then just cute fluffy things, but it's really a pretense.. ;)

Just click at this pic (wasn't sure if someone would be offended by the fake bits of blood, so I posted just the link): http://indianchild.com/images/a5.jpg

I used to have a couple bunnies and I have heard them make the growling. It was the female and did the shoving of the hand. The rabbits have been gone for a long time now though.
