So what do you guys give your dogs for treats?
Since I have a dog that acts famished ALL THE TIME, I have to watch what she eats or she will become very fat very quickly. We have ended up making icecubes with a very light beef boullion, and then giving her ice chips as rewards during training and for fun. |

Pretty nifty idea there, Larinda :) I self om not very pro giving your dogs treats. Well, not at too regular basis. Otherwise some dogs will become beggars and it will not be a treat anymore, but a regular snack.
I remember my gran gave my aunt's dog sneaky in the kitchen some treats (a stereotype granny...they always think that everything that lives is too thin and needs to eat more, wear more, etc.). When my uncle would ask if she gave the dog somthing, my gran would stare at him and say something along the lines as "Noooo! I didn't gave her anything".
And in meanwhile the dog was thoroughly licking around her lips, cleaning off any remaining crums or flavors :D Silly gran... |
