The world's first cloned cat became a mother. Copy Cat (cc), who was cloned by Texas A&M University researchers in 2001, had three kittens in September 20006. Both mother and kittens are doing well.
The father is Smokey, a naturally born tabby.
Two of the kittens take after their mother, while the third has a gray coat like his father. |

Why?
Here's another note. I read the researcher who bred cc is planning on keeping all 3 of the kittens. I've seen pictures of them online, and they are so cute. |
